Board games, dice games, card games... all types of games will be reviewed in the following categories on a scale system (see below for breakdown of what each score means)
Game Complexity (How easy the game can be introduced to new players)
10 : This game will take at least an hour of pure explanation, and then new players should be allowed a practice round to get the feel of the game pieces and mechanics.
9 : This game should take around 30-45 minutes of explanation to go through all the rules and show how all the pieces work. Practice round optional.
8 : This game will take around 30-45 minutes to explain, there will be lots of pieces to explain which are not obvious on how they work/are used.
7 : This game will take around 15-30 minutes to explain, not many complex pieces, just rule heavy.
6 : This game will take around 15-30 minutes to explain, some additional pieces to explain.
5 : This game requires 10-15 minutes of explanation, some additional pieces to explain.
4 : This game requires 10-15 minutes of explanation, no additional pieces to explain.
3 : This game requires a few minutes of explanation, there are some additional pieces to explain.
2 : This game requires a few minutes of explanation, no additional pieces to explain.
1 : This game requires no explanation.
Challenge Rating (Strategy required to win the game)
5 : Very hard. Well-timed/thought out moves and tracking what your opponents are doing.
4 : Hard. Many ways to potentially win, opponents actions may choose your actions for you.
3 : Decently hard. Lots of game-play choices, your actions may affect other players.
2 : Difficult. Some of the game-play is based on luck. Choosing wisely will help you succeed.
1 : Easy. Most of the game is based on luck, your moves don't affect other players
0 : Super Easy. No strategy required, the entire game is based on luck.
Game Aesthetic (overall game look and feel)
This category will be based on a 1-10 scale. I'm not going to lie, it's going to be biased on what I think of the game, but pictures are included and there should be a description of why I think the game is given a specific value.
