As I mentioned back in my review of X-O Manowar #1, I've never read any of this character's comics before, but this is quickly becoming one of my favorites.
This issue picks up with Aric talking with the ring he has made from his armor. As much as he is trying to put his past behind him, war seems to just be a part of who he is. And we quickly get to see a lot more battle scenes in this issue.
One of the coolest parts of this issue is we start to see some hints of what Aric's armor can do. I won't give too much away, but there is a scene where he seems to grab an explosive and contain it within his fist. In another, he seems to be weaponless but manages to produce a blade to defend himself. Although this character seems to be a death machine even without the armor.
I could just go on raving about this issue and this series, but instead I'm going to tell you to just go read it. This is a series you need to be reading. Fortunately it's early in the run, so if you haven't started yet go get a copy. If you can't find one at your local shop, you can find digital copies online here http://amzn.to/2pnLGn6
I can't wait to see how this continues. Valiant has a hit on their hands, so don't miss out!
